Perham, by. – a
photographer is hoping to inspire creativity in local kids this summer — one camera at a time.
Annalee Beaver, a professional photographer specializing in weddings and family portraits, is launching a photography program for children ages 9 to 18 at the Perham Area Community Center.
Beaver said the class will cover camera mechanics, lighting and different photography styles, culminating in a student photo exhibition.
“I feel this is the next step in my photography journey, to start sharing it with the community, especially with kids, and for them to be able to have this experience,” she said.
To ensure all students have access to a camera, Beaver is asking the community to donate cameras. Students will be able to keep them after the program ends.
More details about the summer class will be available on the
Perham Area Community Center’s website.
Cameras can be dropped off at the community center, Main Street Express gas station or Photo Magic photo lab in Perham.
